Salt Lake City, Utah May 18, 2012 Mountainlands Area Plan Room: Recently announced as the Official LDS Church Plan Room, hosting LDS Chapel pre-construction projects world-wide physically in Salt Lake City, Utah and online at www.MAPRonline.com; MAPR just got word today that the ABC UT Board (Associated Builders and Contractors) has voted unanimously to name the Mountainlands Area Plan Room as their 'Official Construction Plan Room' too. ABC Utah Members will now have access to discounted PR services and benefits the MAPR group provides its members.
The Plan Room or Builders Exchange as known elsewhere, is a library of projects bidding. Owners, Architects and Engineers submit plans to the plan room for help in bid advertising and collection. Suppliers and contractors may visit the facilities in person to prepare bids from physical access to paper sets or "Online" to see electronic versions at their convenience 24/7.
The Builders Exchange or Plan Room concept has been around since the 1880s, according to the roster of the IBEE Exchanges MAPR is a part of. This BXNetwork as it is sometimes known represents about 100,000 Firms in the US & Canada. Mountainlands Area Plan Room has been offering member based pre-construction services since 1990, with about 1000 users in Utah and surrounding states. Associated Builders and Contractors of Utah is a Chapter of the National ABC organization of over 35,000 member construction related firms nationwide.
